Northern edge of the Wash streamer, that was headed for me is dying. The rest of it is having no problem at crossing the Midlands. What a surprise.

Just takes one direct hit. Out of nowhere Ive got 5cm.

Quite an astonishing turn of events in Nottingham

Snow streamer set up and dumping a serious load of snow!

Just looked out the window! Crazy scenes this there is a decent depth now everywhere is white...this event has really delivered for Nottingham...often does from the east....and these showers have been a lot more powerful and prolonged than forecast.

The whole of the north sea looks like it is producing lake effect snow ... incredible

I think that's feeding in through mine and Atlantic252's backyard.

Convection off sea, always poorly forecast, it's about knowing your location and the wind direction

Everyone in this thread needs to hope the rest of the precip near the wash can continue to grow and intensify similar to the bits nr nottingham. Everyone might see some over night then.

Yh very true. But they obviously think Friday is missing us completely. Think any of the many showers about will reach here tonight.

Yep, that streamer is going to my south. Funny how the showers only hit me during the day time when the sun overcomes the sub zero temperatures and thick cloud cover to melt it all in minutes.

-7'C currently, with a windchill of -14'C. Walking home from work was actually painful. The cold air stings the skin.

Perhaps some snow showers, for the Dudley area, wouldn't have thought too heavy at around 1am tonight.  Worcester looks to be in the heaviest area at around that time.

ICON is slighly more north and west for thursday. Not by much but a move in the right direction for snow

That's not good we need it to go east Yh north is good but just gives North Wales more. Badly need corrections East but I can't see it.
