Not a great run for this region GFS 18Z, for early next week, still FI yet though, lots of changes I'm sure, on this run, we're practically snow free, (early next week)

Sleety rain at the moment.

Plenty of wintry potential next week and for high ground this week.

Edit: it's snowing!

Holy moly! The charts for next week look VERY cold. Might be quite dry for us Midlanders but there's no doubt it'll put us in the freezer if it comes off. -10 850's nationwide.

⬆️ Amazing pic!

Met Office talking about the possibility for snow on Saturday, albeit mostly over the hills. But I’m hoping it’ll be cold enough to fall to lower levels too - just like what happened a few Saturday’s ago!

Cold  showing in the models for next week   Fingers crossed.  Saturday at the moment i cant see nothing but cold rain.  perhaps just on the wrong side of marginal  however we shall see.  Tuesday at the moment (subject to change) looks our best bet.  However im a little wary as i believe the GFS is understating the block and i am concerned the front might not make it this far East.  Then again it might stall over us!.  Plenty to keep an eye on over the next week or so.

Acually Looking at the GFS Ensembles.  It shows quite a few  showing the front struggling to cross the country due to the strength of the block  Around 6 or 7 have the front stalling close to or over the Midlands    some have it not reaching the Eastern parts of Wales  and some have it like the Op.   still very much up in the air.

GFS is normally too progressive and the ECM not progressive enough, in my opinion.

Weirpig which front? Sat or Tues? yes GFS is very progressive with Saturdays front, FAX has it west of us

Tuesday's. Saturday's looks to marginal to me.

Updated text forecast from the Met Office sounds wonderful!

The ecm looks like keeping the band of snow Tuesday at bay keeping it more to the west. Gfs over us.  Either way it's cold. As ever more runs needed  Sunday night really before even any attempts at a prediction

Hmm. Can't find anywhere. A shame they don't let you know where it's been used.

I think there will be quite a bit of snow next week in the form of showers, if they pop up and move west we don’t have the welsh mountains in the way so reckon they will push quite far west, just a thought
