To be fair im in the east and have done very well this year. Equally so some in the west haven't.

Its just luck of the draw. Enjoy what you get folks and if today's new t your day then based on how this winter has been going so far...

your day will come!

Yes I had a great covering in dec for nearly a week but since then not that much but it’s certainly been better than recent years that’s for sure. Everybody njoy what they get because it’s only the weather really. Lots of people have greater worries in life that’s for sure.

Nothing here this morning just ice, though looking at the run from 7 this morning the showers seem to have died just before reaching here. Radar looks good now for some strong showers.

Two full on blizzards just blown through, a conservative 2-3 inches on the ground.

Just what the MetO said above 150m like yourself.

Getting a good dusting here now, starting to settle too.

Too early to cry about it, turning to snow as the shower gets going ?

If the East don't get hit with that band now then this country is jinxed.

I can confirm it’s heavy snow and lying straight away. Not sure how long it will last but it’s lovely.

Do not go into mod thread!, Latest gfs now swinging with ECM. Easterly quickly out the window and SSW is having no effect at all in bringing in cold weather. It’s all going the way of the pear!

The models have been up and down because of the SSW needing to be taken in account.. this is also way out of the reliable what you expect?

Sadly the move away takes place as early as 120hr so not out of reliable.

Quite a shift from this run yesterday same time.

I expect the unexpected with the weather . If it doesn’t materialise I won’t lose much sleep over it as it’s only the weather

Big downgrade for tonight

Showers of hail and snow are expected through Monday morning. The showers will be heaviest and most frequent across western and northern Scotland where 2-5 cm of snow is likely to accumulate relatively widely, with some areas, particularly above 150 m, possibly seeing 6-10 cm of snow. Elsewhere snow at low levels will be more temporary, with accumulations of 2 to 5 cm likely above 150 m. Strong winds will lead to drifting of snow, with temporary blizzard conditions over higher routes. The showers will gradually become less frequent and heavy from the south through Monday morning.

Yesterday we we're forecast to get what the forecast states for Scotland.

Ah well. That’s the way it goes. Not surprised really.
