Steady moderate snow here. Amazingly is now sticking to all surfaces. Not expecting it to last long but it's an unexpected and welcome bonus!

Still heavy snow, cars all covered. Met Office got this completely wrong for around the SE.

It was lighter here for a bit and so just drizzle, then looked out to see flakes in the mix again but now back to mostly drizzle. It’s like the hokey cokey

Watching a heavier patch moving this way on the radar..

Just walked up to the village to get my car. Probably another 100ft higher up and boom! Everything white even trying to settle on the main roads

Been a mixture of rain, sleet and very wet snow this morning just south of Croydon.

It's a sad state of affairs that people are getting so excited about this. In all honesty it's just a chilly, wet mess!

Anything that is remotely white that comes out of the sky is unusual down here

That's where I think the stories relating to Noah's Ark got it wrong - back in those days I would suggest that the people of the Middle East had not made a scientific study of the melting of the ice from the last ice age and strongly suspect that they did not know about the Laurentian ice field which has a lot of fresh water dammed within it, releasing it as the dam melted causing a sudden upsurge in sea levels and consequently the inundation of low lying areas.

At the time their main experience of flooding would have been from rainfall, so they invented the story of rain for 40 days and nights.

This is actually very plausible.

The rain turned into sleet at 11 00 am and then into snow at 12:15pm , which has been gradually getting heavier and now resembles falling dandruff.

Definite snow here in Walthamstow (NE London). Settling on roofs and grass.

At least the second time this winter that met office/ bbc had predicted rain ("and possibly wet snow at the tops of the hills") and got it wrong

Not a single flake, still dry apart from the damp ground from the frost thaw :nonono:

But still only 1C, according to the NW Homepage...So a 3C better chance of seeing some of the white stuff than yesterday had...?:santa-emoji:

Grass and cars all white in Chingford and radar looking promising for another dose. Epic fail again from the UKMO.

Had a bit of wet snow from about 10am-12.30 but nothing settled and now steady rain.as per the other week places with elevation like big gin hill knock holt west kings down etc probably have a covering but make the most of it as I think it will be gone by 3-4pm as warmer air is coming in fast sadly:sorry:

Not even the chance of evaporated cooling down here, wind has now got a gust on, SE wind. Only between 28-30 mph though.
