If everyone on here could be friendly and (ideally) find a sense of humour, that would just be hunky dorey.

So just to clarify CK1981 because I have not seen you say this 2,350 times in the last 136 pages of this thread you think there will be something interesting around Mid Month ??? Dont want to go to be

Have nade my first mini snow man. First in 5 years.

Hello again all nothing has fallen from the sky yet here in Walthamstow I think I am beginning to feel a bit down maybe  my expectation was a bit high, I know the real shower activity does not start till later tonight but I have an awful feeling this location may miss out.

Anyway still may be some surprises in store and I will still be keeping an eye on those lamp posts.

Hope everyone has had a nice Sunday so far.

Regards ????

Hope your right, fingers crossed. If some of these bands start to clip the Essex coast line then we are in business as they usually then move in towards London but getting them to west of London is the hard bit.

We have had streamers affect us, but the wind needs to be more easterly.

I'm 240 meters above see level here and its' proven lucky this winter had some snow lying when even 2 miles down the road it's been raining, Just hope we can squeeze something significant out of what remains of this winter!

Yes, similar here, in fact most of the London area needs an easterly or ENEly, anything else and the PPN simply does not make it. There are always surprise events, I had heavy snow here and several inches of snow from just one heavy shower, very localised from Greenwich to Dartford there was heavy snow one boxing day evening in the 90s. This was on a NNWly, this wind direction is usually useless.

I remember one streamer a few years back which gave us a few inches of snow, but Reading (just 10 miles west) didn’t see a flake.

99% of the shower activity going over central and east Kent at the moment. Hopefully we see a shift and showers start moving further west.

There is a distinct wind chill now compared to this morning when it wasn’t feeling that cold. Apart from our 30 second snow this morning and some light drizzle nothing has fallen from the sky. But it’s cold and more importantly it’s dry out now and that will do for me, if we could get some sunshine tomorrow I’m happy.  Good luck to the snow hunters, but I’m more than happy to not get any now. I want spring to hurry up, lots of garden work to get on with.

The silence in the MOD thread says it all about the cold spell next week.

Yes, we’ll get some snow early on, but this is turning into a damp squib, unless there’s a huge upgrade.

I think the real cold will come mid month onward.

Frequency of showers is increasing largely just for Kent and East Sussex I love the build up I think some may be pleasantly surprised. It’s looking more and more threatening here.

Good evening everyone :)

I've just got in from doing a bit of gardening today, preparing for any snow lol.

I've cut the grass to show maximum deepness ;)

and picked up all the dog poos, as don't want any land mines lol

I've even put 6 x 20kg bags of sand in the boot of my rear wheel drive BMW so I got a chance of getting up the village hill if we do see any snow. Which brings me on to the question, to save me reading the last 20 pages of here and MOD thread, where are we at with snow in south east tonight and tomorrow?

I see the radar shows some blobs, are we expecting more to develop? hoping they do, and come more west so Haywards Heath can have a go.

It's a shame that I'm just a few miles away from the potential action (am i west sussex on the coast) .... its like the summer with storms, so near yet so far!

There's talk (80% chance of snow according to 'will it snow') of snow here mid week. I'm sure that percentage will sink!

Temp tumbling

2.8c - showers in the North Sea building - The westward progression not expected for a few hours !

I’m wondering if the occlusion over the continent has fragmented, or will influence the snow area in the south east.

Without an easterly flow, or frontal influence, I’m unlikely to see much here.
