More than Monday here in Gillingham. Third day of laying snow this winter, need to update my signature!

Still all feels close but not cigar though, here’s hoping for late Feb!

Nice Steady light snow in Hailsham.

Topping up the 1 and a bit cms on the grass.

An admittedly low benchmark but best snow seen here since 2013!

About 2cms here again. That’s two separate 2cm snow events in a week. Unheard of round here

Snow, what snow? :D The radar loop shows light snow on and off through the night, but nothing on the ground to show for it in south London.

We've got a crack on our driveway, the snow has filled that up nicely. This should be known as the winter of infinitesimal snow, enough to make a snowball in the whole garden.

Another light dusting in Haywards Heath - maybe pushing its way up to 0.5cm on some surfaces. Just enough to hear a small squeak underfoot as you walk!

Had a lovely couple of hours with son Antony. last night. I was struck by the fact that he doesn't listen to music anymore. He always played lots of music and has an extensive CD collection. So I logged into YouTube and played him some tracks, from his favourite bands, such as, Foo Fighters, The Verve, Manic Street Preachers, Coldplay, Muse, U2 and even Pink Floyd and The Eagles ( Dad's influence, there ).  Note. no Santana, poor boys ears have only just recovered from Dads' continual playing of them and Carlos Santanas'. screaming guitar, when he was a child. It was so lovely to see a smile of recognition, break across his face. Planning to do him a mixed CD, of his all time fav tracks, if I can remember how to burn music, onto a blank CD. I think it will be very therapeutic for him and help stimulate his brain, so badly damaged, by Huntingtons' Disease.

Regards,

Tom.

So zero chance for Friday night then lol. Be interesting to see what the set up is for tomorrow night. Is it warm front coming in against the cold air?

The warm air will prob make it marginal for our region

knowing our luck

just be sleet or rain

No surprised there then. I’m guessing all hope is pinned on end of Feb and the SSW. If that doesn’t deliver then goodbye winter hello spring

And all of this proves as always once you get the cold in anything can happen whether it be light or heavy, surprises always take place with snow ❄️?

Absolutely

especially as the snow fell in places that were not forecast.

or in the warning zone

It was all further west, but hey guess what it’s only our region in for a snow chance tommorow evening, so that’s a plus even if it doesn’t materialise.

Going on the experience of past, it will be "hello spring" albeit a cold one.
