Believe it not it was their biggest snowfall in 30 years. Paris does not get a lot of snow!

Any idea how much they got? Looks like maybe 5cms but difficult to tell.

Graupel, things must be warmer in the front then those showers were.

It's all looking fairly decent for most of us for at least a covering, still plenty of energy in The Wash, so East anglia and Kent should see a lot more than those of us farther West.

Snow band north of London over northern home counties seems be pepping up a bit, perhaps because of Chilterns / Dunstable Downs uplift ... wishful thinking, but could be last snow chance for a while.

Some pretty impressive snowfalls in Paris and still falling, they are only just recovering from the River Seine flooding the city. Certainly the weather impacting them this winter, then they have all the big storms in the summer we don't get.

Dont whats worse....the lack of anything but a tablespoons worth of snow in Brighton so far....or the new BBC Weather graphics......just soooo ITVish!

I thought that about the graphics as well. Really zoomed out so it's even more difficult to see what's going on than be before. Almost impossible to tell the difference between cloud and snow. What I thought was a nice area of snow over us in the morning turned out to be mostly cloud with a few small snow showers :cc_confused:

Bring back the magnetic symbols I say.

Yeah that's weird.

I was just leaving Iceland last February when they had their biggest fall of snow for 80 years of 20 inches. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/28/iceland-turns-winter-wonderland-record-snowfall/

I was surprised the record wasn't bigger tbh.

Agreed. Have you updated the app? It's bloody awful! Hourly forecast 10 days out...Yeah right! All cluttered and almost unusable. ..back to met office app for me!

A lot of snow records in the northern hemisphere and the like have gone this winter. A part of Japan had biggest snowfall in 37 years. Crazy amount we could only dream..

Deffo not staying up half the night radar watching,be amazed if this peps up,friday looks like it will be wet rather than white, and even if the ssw happens,it could well take 10 days to kick in,nothing like leaving it late
