A mixture of rain, sleet and wet snow in and around Moretonhampstead as I type. Snow on the surrounding hills via a shower. Moretonhampstead is 700 ft above mean sea level. Town temperature 4.4.C

Winds gusting here now; heavy rain shower. Feels colder than 4c.

Nice continuous gap in the shower streams straight over my noggin 

Temperature is falling away now though at least so I can enjoy cold dry evening 2.4c

In all honesty how does your hill get any snow, you are done in from the mountains if from the north / north west, done in by todays westerley flow if things come from the east you are on the wrong side of the country....not worth talking about the other compass points. Tough times

Ive not given up yet but you can see whole of mendips poking out in middle of all that shower activity in the clear

It’s a bit of a ghost town in there, we have more posts today than the mad thread, I think most are in the regional thread
