Okay PM we've got some catching to do and we certainly will come tomorrow :santa-emoji:

Anyway very rarely we see a daytime temp chart like this for Monday.... Midlands colder than the Scottish highlands

There have been shifts south though. For those of us in the south Midlands/home counties these subtle shifts are making all the difference!

Either way, the north Midlands are getting a pasting tomorrow.

Tell me about it! Always on the fringe of any action! #westoxon

Starting to believe now...?:pardon:

Temperature at 0.2C and falling quickly, after a max at 3.0C.

Dew point down at -2.2C.

The rain has now reached Cornwall ahead of the warm front.

Keep the faith. Currently we are just about in the sweet spot, where the front pivots and turns south again.

I have seen varying figures of from 5cms to 25cms for us.

Somewhere probably will but every time I look at the met Office forecast for my area, the duration gets shorter, and a lot of what was heavy snow has become light snow.

The snow arriving not long before dawn is a good thing. It will be the coldest part of the day with temperatures widely below freezing when it arrives. Snow should stick instantly.

Great to see a slight shift south puts all the Midlands in the game. Also will keep it an all snow event and the the pivot will hammer us all and give us more snow for longer. Couldn't get a better predicted track at present. It's perfection.

I'm still of the impression that this is going to be best for those further south, maybe around Resditch way.

Looks that way to me too, but the pros seem to think we in the north of the region will see the most. Time will tell!

Is this ppn in general or snow accumulator?

Thats the accumulation, Gem, Arpege, Hirlam, Arome all have the biggest totals further south than previously. I remember someone in cov thinking they to far south the other day. I think that certainly isnt the case now. All of those i mentioned would probably see oxford best placed.

Back earlier this week this looked like a southern Scotland/northern England event!

NMM is out to +10 at the minute. Should be interesting as the Met Office forecast almost mirrored that exactly earlier on.
