-1c with a DP of -3c here. The little frost-man stayed in one piece today and the frost on the grass didn't disappear all day.

Question about dew points - why do they vary so much over a short distance? Weather stations locally showing from 0c to -5c!

Probably due to sensor issues rather than there being that much of a difference.

All getting exciting!! this time tomorrow I wonder what this room will be like.? Back to today where’s  the clear blue sky that was promised today? cloudy and sooo cold currently 1.2c here in mid Norfolk

Indeed, it has been disappointingly cloudy.  I'm surprised you count Attleborough as being in Mid-Norfolk, though.

Hatched lines indicate snow those bright colours indicate heavy snowfall.

Hi

the white hatchings is snow - if you look at the bottom of your image you will see the colours is the scale of the PPN :)

Let's not get carried away though folks. Those London southwards are still unfortunately likely to get just cold rain followed by some back edge snow. Beds/Bucks/Herts are on the very knife edge of potentially significant snow.

Meanwhile, there's clearly a problem with the UKV at the moment so will turn my attention to the EC as it trundles out in the next 10 mins.

-1.6C here in Buntingford according to my thermometer. What chance do people think I have of having snowfall tomorrow?

Euro4 doing the same as all the other models, that's a big jump south with the sub-zero DPs. I'm starting to think the Met Office warning needs extending into Bucks/Herts/Beds.

The white lines mean snow, the colour intensity of rain. Red = heavy blue = light.
