Certainly,  it is early vindication of my own prediction for colder weather this winter, with forecast cold predicated on most of the same macroscale meteorological reasons; Easterly QBO, La Nina in the Equatorial Pacific and a Quiet Sun, with the advance of pan-Eurasian snow-cover an additional factor. 

Unlike, Nick Finnis however, I do not predict the severe cold spells to happen until the second half of January and February. December and early January will be very much Atlantic-dominated.
