their armoured vehicles are being made ready-

I'm pretty sure the sky turning yellow is the met office trying out a new warning system after some backlash.

Looking forward to my trip to #Ireland

Crazy scenes in my local town, shops are behaving like Christmas. From checkout till to the door. Slight over reaction.

Two men went kite surfing in Blackrock Louth, rescue services attending scene. I should have sympathy for them but I don't. Stupid.

Time of photo 10.34 BST.
Ok, now not a brilliant photo I know, but I’m just out with the hound on his mid morning walkies, when I looked up at the sky, and saw that the sun was blood red! :shok:
Now I’ve seen orange coloured suns at this hour, but only on hot sticky sultry summers days before a big thunderstorm breaks out.
But never a red sun.
Me thinks that hurricane Ophelia is going to make this an interesting day! Stay safe people.

By the way, morning everyone.

Been monitoring a couple of other non weather related forums that I use and one guy stands out in particular. Seems to be currently in Dublin and there is hardly any wind so nothing to worry about, has decided that everyone worrying is a snowflake.

It's complacency like this that worries me the most in events like this.

Horse vest.jpg

You’ve made me laugh out loud in the office.. but yes these vests exist.. they stop their rugs from rubbing..

To keep back on subject .. just looked at the wave height and winds on Ophelia on ventusky and showed my work colleagues.. they were stunned. I work for an engineering company which does building design structures etc and for some areas of uk recent buildings can be designed to 100mph.. doesn’t help that most in Ireland won’t be .. Let’s hope the luck of the Irish plays for most over there today.

Still just a light breeze here

Still as anything here. Cloudy with what looks like clouds trying to storm, just not quite enough energy there it seems.
