Very active storm just to my west/northwest...frequent loud rumbles of thunder. Within a couple of miles of me.

That was the scariest storm I have ever witnessed. Its even shook me up, and I love them.

At least 5 huge bolts of lightning have come down within half a mile of me here, setting off car alarms, building alarms, etc. The rain was nothing exciting, but the lightning was very intense and severe.

At around 11AM I had a weak thunderstorm,only two rumbles of thunder heard,still better then nothing(although it did produce a decent spell of heavy rain)

Have recently found out that the storm earlier struck TWO houses, setting their roofs alight. Both houses are within 100 yards of my home. Thankfully no-one was hurt. Also unconfirmed report that a lightning strike hit the campsite behind my flat, but nothing confirmed on that yet.

Thats too close for comfort. :shock:

had a storm about 4pm this afternoon some lightning and loud thunder but diddn't see exactly how much because I was working!
