Your analogies are just as entertaining as the models, keep it up :good: (only joking by the way).

Meanwhile the ECM 168:

Imagine another Decemeber to remember is on the way, we just don't quite know it yet! :cold-emoji:

Ecm 12z phase 1 looks good as in increasingly cold with showers turning more and more wintry from the north with snow supporting cold uppers and widespread frosty nights with icy patches. Great charts for the last week of autumn!☺???...Hoping phase 2 (week 2) turns out as lovely as the 00z..:santa-emoji:

PS...I'm typing this from behind the sofa!..sofa so good:cold-emoji:

Does seem to be that some of the comments on here today have a "da vinci code" element to them? ??Anyway ecm looking ok in contrast to the ukmo.Tbh tho its a thin line regarding the antics with the low pressure not splitting the block.not finished yet and more twists to come imo!!!

Gets there!.

Atlanic is in the library being quiet.

Momentum is hugely in our favour here.

And the warmth just has eyes on the pole!

The UKMO run looks very strange in comparison with most other models. Very different.

Not looking past day 5/6 for now as it seems the real eye candy is always at day 9/10!

Shortwave spoiler around Iceland

More heights building to the west of Greenland and up from siberia though, this   Has so much potential for a very prolonged cold spell, not just a week or two. Great, especially as I'm overseas this winter ?

Folk are missing out what is in front of them. Is this eye candy? At day 2 a sight to behold after all this woeful muck of the last few years. The first wave of cold has been picked up very well.

By spoiler you mean snow maker when it sinks south?

It won't be a snowmaker...develops too much, need it to be a much weaker system and sink SSE. All it does is serve to slow the progression down

ECH1-240.GIF?26-0

Proper Greenland blocking now back at day 10 (a very good chart btw)
