'tis times like today that the Netweather forum allows the true colours of reality to share the best links worldwide

ooohtube et al' sensationalizes with miss-information from nutters...

This is serious for everyone in irma's path.

As a weather fanatic I wouldn't want to be there - hope everyone gets the help they need after this

Echoed by everyone here I'd imagine. As much as many of have a keen interest in extreme weather, something like this is a completely different story.

Florida landfall looking more certain, just a question of where and how strong, two major hurricanes hitting mainland U.S. within a few weeks pretty jaw dropping ... oh then Jose could take a direct aim at Barbuda, St Martin and Puerto Rica ... so cruel

On the live report from Barbuda people said containers were flying over their heads and some people had to tie themselves to the roof to not blow away...

Just been watching the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda describing the extent of the damage on Barbuda on his visit there this evening - this screenshot explains why (amongst many things) the residents of Barbuda couldn't make any contact with anyone...

Has any previous Hurricane followed that track and headed straight for Florida with little landfall en route? (from this point)

What is left to weaken this thing between now and then, wind shear? ERC? Mountains (if it actually traverses any).

EDIT: Ok so the latest track is grazing Cuba then the eastern side of Florida, not good lets hope it shifts further east before then.
