Right!! *said in a brisk and business like fashion*
Morning everyone :)
Well the day has arrived, as per my earlier post we've got loads of ACCAS around this neck of the woods this morning :bomb::D
But due to the hit and miss nature of storms (unless its an MCS or supercell) then they really could breakout anywhere.
Here are the latest charts from today's 00z GFS run from 06.00 - Midnight.

A lot of this today is gonna come down to now casting, watching weather/storm radars etc, and I always find that an AM/MW radio is always a handy tool to use as well.

Good luck to everyone with this today, stay safe and lets hope that this turns into a memorable day for all of the right reasons.
Happy hunting folks. :bomb::friends:

Let me second that bit about the radio. Can't tell you how invaluable those things are on days like this even in this day and age.  Tune to the lowest point on medium wave (520 kHz) I find works best. A handheld radio for local strikes, a desktop (big) radio for national strikes; or use longwave on handheld for national/international strikes if you don't have a desktop one.  Obviously ultimately depends on the quality of the radio, you get what you pay for.

Hopefully it kicks off, I feel like I am in a decent position to see some storms, wether I see one or not is another question. Good luck.

Yep, Euro 4 has never really bought this but we will see what 0z says and see what the day actually brings

Unfortunately the Euro4 is still dire for all but parts of the far SE and the Humber on the 00z.

I love the skies with plumes, the clouds are just beautiful. I'd actually prefer not to get a storm here (or until much later) as my Mum is moving house. Sod's Law?

Met Office now showing 40% chance of showers at 10:00

My iPhone weather app is going for a chance of storms (never more than 50%) between 10:00 and 16:00 but Netweather saying 85% chance of storms which is the highest it's ever shown for today (but has also been wrong on multiple occasions)...

Hello! My wifi is still down, so I may not post very frequently. Unfortunately due to this I am unable to upload any pictures, (I'm using 4G) but take my word for it, the sky looks really really unstable. The humidity is through the roof too. Good luck everybody!

Starting to see some towers trying to form above the accas which is filling the sky. I reckon in an hour or so we'll have a better idea of what will happen..,

Good morning all :)  Beautiful start to the day down here in Bournemouth.

Firstly all this talk of a bust at 7am needs to stop ;) i've not even had breckie yet.

I'm still planning on chasing but looks like the drive could be a little further and the drive home even further

Thinking of heading to Oxford area mid morning and waiting to see how things develop, nicely located to head whichever way needed.

Good luck everyone

Still doesn't go for anything but where is the rain over parts of northern England now?

A little disappointed with lack of early morning activity, though there's still chance over the next few hours across the far southeast.

This is my view out the window this morning

Dark young CB now gaining height just east of here, blocking the sun. Maybe an indication that with a bit of insolation things could get interesting. It looks a bit lonely though at the moment. Rest of sky full of Ac cas.

I agree - let the day get it's socks on before you all slam it as a bust... there's still plenty of time yet!

Also the delay in this morning's storms or rain will potentially change the game later in the day for the surface-based ones further north.

I'm still expecting a wide line of heavy thundery showers to work its way up at about 10am across the eastern half of the southern coast. How far it gets is anyone's guess...

Off to Kent shortly to meet the boss for work - so should be able to catch something as it passes over

Fingers crossed and eyes peeled!
