So after all the hype about tonight , absolutely bugger all. Wouldn't be surprised to see sat and Sunday go the same way .

The fax chart has the low for Sunday further south so exect to wake up and have us out of the firing line tomorrow/

There's a big band of PPN out in the Irish Sea heading right for us. The Met Office and BBC graphics showed a band of snow across the region from 3-6am. This is possibly it. It's expanding every radar update. Lots of energy out there tonight.

I noticed a few sferics associated with it as well. Didn’t realise it was heading this way. Brilliant.

Looks like a secondary trough to me.

The first one earlier produced fork lightning, was great to see.

It missed me completely before. I’d just like a bit of thunder and hail action. Looks like I’ll get my snow fix on Sunday the way it’s looking at the moment.

The Mersey seemed to fuel it earlier. The new Mersey Gateway was treacherous earlier. Wasn't gritted, I saw a crash and I almost made that crash number 2. No brakes, skidded everywhere.

All I can hear outside is 'drip drip' Was just icy rain/sleet as that trough passed through. Gutting. CBA with this snow drought anymore.

I think it'll all be too marginal mate. The Irish Sea is our friend our enemy!

The sad thing is, the Midlands are probably having snow from that trough owing to being further away from the flow from the sea.

The uppers that're moving in now are colder than before and the DP's are below freezing- no chance of rain this time.

Depressing isn't it. Shows how warm the Irish Sea must be

Lmao...might pass on that one...if we took a dip in there we'd probably be dead within the year from cancer or something
