Dartmoor. Not much snow but heavy snow showers hitting the north moor. Lovely colours

Happy for those seeing snow, looks like we’ll be in the ‘non streamer’ zone in Gloucestershire unless something shifts. More convection needed! Enjoy the ride.

We got any chance of Sundays rain being snow? Just feel like if the cool air was a bit ore SW for sunday we may get the same dumping as the midlands seem to be in for...

It’s edged south on some models overnight but not south enough for us as yet. I’m not holding much hope!

Don't lose hope just  yet, more shifts south could happen at very short notice, our snow in 2013 shifted south to clobber the Channel Islands with less than 12 hours to go before the event!

Are we suffering from the warmer air coming up from the south, I assume if that weakens the colder air could push further south? ... seen it happen before over the southwest when this happens and we end up on the convergence of the 2... and we have had a good covering.

Had to check and recheck the radar as the car appeared to have a bad case of dandruff this morning, as did the garage roof. Now gone, yet the ground is wet so confirms something fell very briefly. Best car shampoo for dandruff, anybody?

Nothing so far here. Any showers have gone either side. Doesn't seem cold enough for snow either at 02.5C.

Massive hail storm for 3 mins then snow landing on the 'settled' hail - first time I've seen that.

(At Bath Uni, so a bit of elevation)

Dew points are probably low enough though. Kind of like those April days we've had the last 2 Springs.

A few flurries in Warminster of mixed wet snow/sleet/graupel.

Radar suggests something really heavy between Bristol and Bath.

See above - large flakes falling on the settled hail - looks very Christmassy!

Yes, dp just below 0. Been watching that clump, bit too far east from here. Need stuff between Newport and Cardiff to stop evaporating lol.

Had a lie in. Just logged on to you guys. So just looked out of window and it must have snowed here in last 30 mins as snow covering on cars and grass.

I've been watching showers evaporate all night that have been on a course to hit here, irritating to say the least.

Classic ruler-on-the-screen radar watching today.

Already had a moderate shower pass tantalisingly close to the SW although it did transition to sleet on the radar just as it reached my latitude which makes me wonder if I'm just a bit too low in elevation (a measly 10 m asl!).

Nasty feeling a heavy snow shower is soon to pass just north of me, giving Salisbury a good show while I'm stuck in this office unable to chase .

It is. I don't know what's causing it as most of them are making it over the Welsh mountains. They obviously see Newport and die a death (as do I when I drive past it).

This is the view towards Salisbury at the moment.

I though it had our name on it when a was walking through the fields about half an hour ago...

but we're a tad too far west at the moment.

Just had rain in Frome

Gives the impression some intensity and duration of precipitation is needed today - assuming, that is, that the rain was light - as it appeared on radar?
