It was wonderful yesterday has now it felt to do stuff outside all day.

Lovely feel not to cold and not heavy humid and hot, already I can fee the difference today, not looking forward to the next few days if it goes really hot and humid again.
Cant this country just have some nice warm days, why does it always have to go to hot extremes.
Why do we never get extremes of cold in the winter. :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Temperatures are rising now though. I think warmer air is moving up from the south west. Many stations to our south west are recording temperatures in the low twenties, even though still cloudy. I think we'll get there too, with rising humidity.

Still pretty murky and a bit of wind here but it does feel slightly warmer than earlier today.... Hoping for a nicer day tomorrow. We've been spoilt for hot weather this summer, but I think we deserve more! Fingers crossed....

An excellent summary stainesbloke - hit the nail on the head!

It's been a very disappointing couple of days with any glimpses of sun largely confined to early in the mornings or the evenings. Although when the clouds finally broke last evening at least it gave a wonderful sunset. The daytime highs of 19.8C Fri and 19.6C yesterday felt cooler than that with the breeze blowing, but least it should be warmer today with most of us in the warm air ahead of a weak cold front moving south (with enough holes to give some bright or sunny spells).

BBC/Met Office forecaster Jay Wynne this morning suggesting we keep a "watch" on Tues & Weds with heat and some storms moving up from the south. :)

Sometimes it really is impossible to 'polish a turd' and that's how the weather has been for a few days now - crap!

Some interest this coming week as you say, with some heat and chances of a thundery outbreak. After that though....oh well, at least we've had some good spells of summery weather so far.

Today seems better with some good sunny spells and a warm airmass overhead, so mid to high twenties look possible, same should occur up to and including Wednesday though the 30C mark looks unlikely as cloud and shower affect us on Wednesday despite some very warm 850s.

our heating has broke, so it's coming on at 6am and 6pm every day so this cool weather has been a blessing. Bubs is off on a rainbow thing all day so hopefully any showers will hold off, but she has enough food for a small army and waterproof stuffs.

Looking forward to baking once again, and our non existent thundery outbreak.

Donuts.

We had some sun early this morning, Matt, but it's now back to the mid and low-level coud that we've had for much of the month to date.

Yeah it didn't last long here either, a few hours until around 10am and then back to thick cloud, though it does seem to be lifted as per the forecast for the risk of showers this afternoon. It is warm out there at 22C but we need some sunny breaks to make it feel more tollerable rather than just grey and a bit humid.

The heating is off. According to the switch it is off. but it still comes on the timer. Re-setting it still made it come on.

We need a mans with vans to come take a look.

Despite the cloud, it's very warm and humid in our patch today. Perfect weather for a BBQ :)

25C here despite the cloud. Not too bad but I wish the cloud would sod off finally, been hanging around for days on end. Tomorrow and Tuesday look better at least.

Just had a look at the satellite and it appears to be breaking. Just reached 25 here with a dew point of 19!

Yes it does look like thinning out. Quite a humid feel today, nice and warm.

This would be a heatwave in Scotland!!

I feel very sorry for those living in the N. Another crap summer for them. Hopefully there'll be some nationwide high pressure in August and September to enjoy.

I agree! I guess it's swings and roundabouts though. They get the snow in winter and we get bugger all

That's true, we are one of the last places to get snow. I'll always prefer a long, hot summer though!
