Constant lightning now, clear skies are lighting up to the southwest, and I can see lightning flashing in the white clouds to the South.

Is that from that lot over Devon?

    Lovely looking storm this afternoon!

Here's the one that didn't get away. Taken at Crawley, West Sussex.

All bark but no bite down here on the south coast!

Neg. It's directly to my South, I can see clouds from the front bedroom.

I honestly didn't want a late one, as I wanted to get up early, but this is moving in quicker than I anticipated.

I can see the sky lighting up to my South from here in  Marlborough - where's that coming from? It's not the Cornwall storm. I guess it's the random pops on the south coast...

You can pretty much see now how the storms are firing along the trough as it moves North. Just close that gap as you move up towards the W country please

Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.
