This morning was foggy, but it cleared eventually to leave a bright and warm afternoon.

Looks like the weather is making a comment on us triggering Article 50. There's no sign of the UK on the satellite image of Europe this morning!

Yes, the gloom has rolled in from the Atlantic. Matches my mood with all this Brexit madness :sorry:

Hazy sunshine and 11.4C with a very gentle southerly breeze to start Thursday here. Although it's set to stay hazy all day, temps are still forecast to hit 20C for some lucky folk. Good effort for March! :)

Perfect drying weather out there me thinks, so being it's such a nice spring day, the washing machine is in over drive. There is quite a breeze here, making the garden fence move.

First load almost dry. Happiness is a clean white wash. =)

oh and buying more clothes. Done for summer now.

Confirmed we've smashed 70F in lowland East London. 21c at 3pm.

Extraordinarily pleasant day - by no means the earliest hit for 70F but not bad at all.

Quite a bizarre feeling evening for the time of year. Still 17°C at around 7:30pm. It feels more like June than March!

My station and the nearest other one's reached 22C. Not bad! Took until May to reach 20C last year.

A decent morning gave way to a sunny afternoon, the Fens and surrounding areas were one of the warmest places in the country at 22C. A cracking day.

Spot-on description Captain. A cracking day that exceeded expectations with 20C widely, many at 22C, and Gravesend the highest (as usual!) at 22.1C - the best March temp since 2012. It's not looking too bad again today, although a few degrees down.

I keep hearing the Met Office BBC forecasts mention the possibility of a rumble of thunder tomorrow, 1st April. The high res models do show a very marginal (low) level of instability around, but personally I'm raising my hopes too much. The Arpege model shows the best chance in the west of the Region around 16.00 - 17.00 before the scattered heavy showers die out and don't reach the east. The Arome model shows the chance of showers to be more wide-spread. Whatever the detail, it's nice to start the month with April living up to it's description! Charts for 17.00 Saturday:

Max of 19.4c yesterday which was a lovely surprise! Felt alot like a mid summers day, the air felt lovely and warm. Today it is currently 15.5c but much more cloudy with a slight breeze giving it more of an edge.

Hoping for some nice weather on Monday as I'm off out for the day!

Well a bright start, then an hour of light rain which has then been followed by lots of sunshine this afternoon with just some fair weather cloud.

The weekend does look showery as the trough moves east and weakens, Saturday seeing some slow moving heavy downpours, Sunday looks drier and still quite pleasant with light winds.

Quite a nice afternoon here once this morning's cloud and spots of rain moved away. Currently a respectable 16C, but that bloody wind is howling again. Has this country got windier in the last 10-15 years? Or is it just my imagination?
