Uncertain still though but you are 136m...  I thought 100m plus was general consensus for high ground?

Not much rain here today, just a light drizzle 0.2mm
Recent forecasts have shown a lot more passing through.
Was 8.3c around 7.30am and 7c at midnight, WSW wind has dropped in last few hours was 15mph
Now 7.8c, 1007.8 hPa, WSW 4mph

excellent debating point (possibly for another day) but what height means high ground?

I always hear its 200 but i guess in different situations it changes. I suspect today high ground means 300.

Yes, I guess whenever they don't actually quote the ASL they're deliberately leaving the door open a little.

More excitement in the MAD thread about an easterly coming in. lots of the charts do suggest it. If that happens very cold but mainly dry!

In the warning area for the snow showers (North West etc.) the chief forecaster mentions :

"Around 2 cm of snow is possible even to low levels in places. 5-10 cm is possible on high ground above about 200 m."

So would seem that's sort of their default.

It does seem that way.

It even matches up with the Meto 6-30 day outlook as well for once !

It does seem the forecasters are really struggling to get a handle on this event especially for us folk down south.

I guess its because its so marginal it literally could go either way and far too many factors involved in forecasting snow i.e you can have 6 inches of snow in one area and 5 miles down the road it can be pouring with rain.

Who would be a meteorologist in balmy Britain, tough gig!!
