Anybody else starting to get a little excited over the last 48 hours model output?? if the UKMO 12Z comes on board today then this place could go into meltdown. come on winter hit us hard, bring them ice days and snow lots and lots of fluffy white stuff...

Well we had a very brief spell of very wet snow at lunch time today as the rain band pushed thru... anybody else have this??

Snow has fallen through the night and settled. Nothing more than a dusting but that takes the snow day tally for this winter to two.

Sad to note how last year's thread quickly became inactive on the 1 January - a sign of how poor snow prospects were last winter - lets hope this winter bucks the snowless theme of the last four.

Poor year all round tbh, so if the snow wont come to me i'll go to it, planning on re-visiting Iceland some time late feb early march.
