Heavy snow and turning white in Dyce now, quite a novelty. I was quite pessimistic yesterday but here it's actually turned out better than expected. Still nothing that special though.

Also using the matts in your car really help, pop them right under the wheels and voila, traction made and off you go.

Aye that's a winner too, both are better for smaller cover, if it's the deep stuff then shovel and sweat it is!

Deep stuff I'd probably be running round the garden like a 9 year old building snowmen lol

I did find the snow going over the hill to work in Greenock. Lots of cars/vans stuck on the hill between Lochwinnoch and Kilmacolm. The winter tyres were working well this morning.

Early fun and heavy lying snow has now turned into absolute muck! Looks white out the window but it's a sleety, slushy mess! With the wind whipping up now and heavy sleet/wet snow  it's miserable out.

I wait all winter for some snow and this is what happens. This winter can do one LOL

Utter utter respect for how you manage to keep up a cheery front in the face of general pish. I wouldn't be able to do it in your place! I'd be raging ;-)

Completely rubbish in my neck of the woods too.  A few centimetres of wet, slushy snow in East Kilbride at 150m asl and nothing at all lying in Motherwell when I left for work.  The GFS seems to have been closer to getting the track of the storm and the snow on its northern flank right than the Met Office/Euro4.

Looks pretty good up in the Pentlands though.

Just as I finished typing it turned back to snow and it's hammering down again. Such a shame. This was so close to be a memorable event :)

After all that effort I put in I ain't even got slush so consider yourself lucky

At least everyone got a laugh including me :) Shame about the lack of snow although it's white above about 170m so guess where I'm going this afternoon?

To somewhere 175m above?

Turned back to rain in Dyce and now stopped. Anything that lay is pretty much gone now. Oh well, a little excitement for a few hours I suppose.

Think it's rain here now. Right slushy mess was nice to see though (best snow of the winter easily)

Not too bad here in the end, working from home after all. Could have driven in but after seeing pictures of the M80 decided not to.

Edit - strike that, didn't seem to work....so here's another photo instead :)

Wow! That's at least a '12' on the Steve Murr Snow Scale!

Still snowing lightly here just now but there could be some short lived flooding issues as the snow melts fairly rapidly in places

Still heavy here but slushy on the ground. Miserable day.

Seems to be drizzle here and not much else.

I would say that probably the only proper decent UK snow picture I have seen this Winter. Good stuff.
