Finally got rid of them! The sleeping one's I have no issue with but there's always the same 'once a year drinker' to wind me up tight :D

Anyway lovely day with the kids being spoilt rotten!! Wind picking up, temp going down. Potential there for snow showers tomorrow morning..... You never know!

Chewing bloody drawing pins now - checked latest output and the low 850 temps have been modified and shortened so I'd now be surprised to see snow at all...

The reverse psychology route now.. I hope it's fruitful

Picked up again here and we're white outside

Gettn' breezy oot noo! Temp dropped quickly last night and we had some hail showers. Same through the night, could hear it rattling off the roof. Snow for some today, enjoy!

1.9C and no evidence of any snow lying, not a surprise given the mid teens temps yesterday warming the ground. Too early to stand and stare out of the window as the next band on the radar comes through.

A rare beast in recent times, the UKMO on board with a cold spell?

IMG_1565.GIFIf this follows usual patterns it'll be more and more epic charts for the next three days and then another implosion.

GFS sort of collapses the ridge over us, leaving us with a high so although likely cold, not sure how snowy.

Don't, I repeat don't look at the ECM model run this morning, not if you want to preserve your sanity.

Oh,  I can't help myself, it ends like this...

ECH1-240.GIF?26-12

ECM0-240.GIF?26-12

Now that would be nice, but a long way out so for sanity's sake don't get too excited.

Morning, hope the hangovers aren't to bad. Woke up to heavy snow and a welcome white landscape this morning. Looking at the sky, I suspect there's a lot more to come. Fairly gusty already making it feel raw outside.

Kids woke us when they fed the cats and informed us it was "snowing like crazy". It had stopped by the time I looked out of the window but there's a small dusting on the cars.

Similar here now, some quite heavy snow in the last hour. First I've seen this season.
