Bah.. South Barnsley has ducked and dived and missed most of it all say.   The flow seems to only be light in nature now.  Anything else coming?

I am watching that Immingham gap fill, that would be our best shot in an hour or so,or SE Scunny for earlier than that.

Weirdly Sheffield, albeit the northern half is copping a moderate shower now with another behind keeping itself going, yet now further north they're dying out. Silly weather nonsense! So many tiny variable no doubt at work absolutely crucial to the longevity of these showers!

Thoughts on snow potential for tonight for Scunny?

Can't see anything like we've had falling although the north sea is still looking active.

No other suprises out off the coast of Denmark are there?

Forecast for 3 hours, looks to keep it going from the north sea.

Heavy snow/blizzard in Brigg should be on its way any time now :-)

still snowing here, very lightly though.

Those amazing charts the HIRLAM is churning out, when are they for?

Tomorrow evening/night. Hopefully it will verify like that! In it's favour much of the precipitation over France is further east than modelled which in theory should hopefully mean it'll be east of the warning areas so fingers crossed on that one!

Please can anyone explain what is causing this orange in the sky. Clouds all around look perfectly normal and the moon is behind me. It looks to be too high in the sky to be light pollution.

UFO?!  :pardon:

Seriously it might be the streetlights reflecting of the snow as it's falling out of the clouds high up?

Otherwise I haven't a clue sorry!

Remember that ice acts as a reflector, any light is immediately exaggerated. Looks as though theres a bright light there somewhere though.

Likely a stadium or car park with lots of sodium lights.
