How come some on here have suddenly over the last 20 minutes become so certain that the band will miss them. Is it a case of reverse psychology or do they something I don't.

The band may not miss us afteral, played radar loop and seems as though the southern flank of the heavy stuff seems to be hidden/not showing on radar?

Almost as if it's entered a black hole

Wow watching that radar is intense! One minute it looks like the lovely green and yellow bits will just clip the top of north Yorkshire, then the next update makes i look like it will hit north and west Yorkshire!

Guessing the former!

The moisture ahead of the front has pepped up precipitation meaning NE'ern parts due some snow shortly. We can't even see all the precip yet on the front itself :)

Yes,well spotted, there seems to be a radar dropout just where the southern part of the band is,does look dodgy.

Will this area following the same path as the low behind it, Joggs?

Yes.It looks like north and west York's will do the best from these features but the east will fair better from the showers tomorrow and Wednesday ect.

It really is all about radar watching this week.

In this very cold unstable air, the showers will band up?.

Patience required.

if you skip through the times (forwards) is that predicted track?

If it is then you can clearly see most of the region getting something from it...eventually.

I could be wrong ?

well ot looks like what i was saying is reality. if tonight turns out a total bust when radio leeds, look north, euro4, met app, bbc, amber warning all have us dwn as heavy snow then i totally give up n will trust no forecaster. it will mke this week look a damp quib let dwn! i cannot see frequent showers tues n wed whatsoeber. all over hyped im afraid and a lot of pros could look rather daft. reduce wages i say.

Cannon fodder model!

Stick with the SRPM. It's the most reliable in these situations

If we don't get anything from this initial PL(polar low)there looks to be plenty following that

on another note if we miss the biggy thu/fri ,at least we will keep the cold locked in for longer but still plenty of time for ajustments nearer the time,it's going to be a fascinating week coming up with prob more suprises popping up as the week wears on:)
