Away from Barnsley home for a week in a holiday cottage in the North Yorks Moors.  Drove over from Hutton Le Hole to Castleton this morning en route to Saltburn and had quite an interesting drive.  Was pleased to have the backup of the 4x4 on the Volvo XC60!    Photo taken at around 10.30am at The Lion Inn pub at Blakey Ridge, which is around 400m asl.

You picked a good time to visit, keep an eye on the weather conditions at the pub via the link in my signature. :)

Shower activity seems to be pepping up abit now near east yorks coast

Just came back from East coast in North Yorks and they were little bits of sleet falling late this afternoon, we should see some proper snow inland if showers penetrate across region overnight.

Looks like there is a good covering on Blue Bank in Sleights near Whitby this morning.  Image courtesy of North Yorks Council road camera website.

Few flakes falling and a patchy dusting here to the east of leeds. Also the radar looks to be filling in with light snow regionwide which is unexpected.

Boring in here as the weather is boring outside?  :pardon:

Might get a dusting of snow tomorrow morning but then things become more marginal again from the weekend onwards.

Second half of February into March looks promising at the moment though.....
