hooray, dailyexpress says country grinding to a standstill 1963 style at christmas.

Oh dear, JJ1...The Daily Excreta gets it wrong again! Someone please tell Nathan Rao that it was 1962? As an American Nobel Prizewinner sang (around that time); When will they ever learn!:wallbash:

Oops! It might have been Pete Seeger?

At this rate I don't think we will ever see a forecast like those again!

Mist/Fog starting to roll in again here.

Right now I'd bank a Cold, Clear and Frosty Christmas and would take the chance on not chasing snow till Jan. I for one do not want to be looking out at Christmas Day to Gloomy, Foggy, Damp and Dull Weather.

A light fog/heavy mist this morning, really don't know which lol. Looks like it may rain any second.

I dressed up for winter on the dog walk this morning at 7am. Sweater/hoodie and a body warmer. Big mistake! I was sweating when I got back.

RIP Ian... Don't think we will ever see a forecast like 1987 or 1991 again...

Tonsillitis fever plus 12.1c outside at night makes for feeling more like the Bahamas that Christmas. I am so hot.

Having said that, dozing on the allotment in a mild breeze and hazy sun, very pleasant.

I think "front loaded winter" was simply "a few frosts".

Had tonsilitis too:bad:

Feels colder tonight ? the frosts we have had a few weeks back really was so nice and brought everything into "winter" am looking forward to snow (lamppost)watching again .. merry Christmas :)

Maybe it's age, oops that's a bit cheeky.

No it isn't any colder, however nights are going to get cooler again, should be back to single figure highs by the weekend - cloudy as well so fairly depressing, frosts will be virtually non existent. Overnight sees a continuation of what we've seen - very mild barely any difference to night and day temps, many seeing minimums not going below double figures, awful!

Back to being mild, although I can't be too sure, after a mild panic and being a few minutes later for school, running down the road, then realizing the christmas hat i put on bubs with the intention of taking it off before she actually went into class was still on her head, if it had snowed I wouldn't of noticed.

I don't think it was raining anyway.

October Fog Index is working out well, no fog until the second half of October, so I am not expecting snow until the second half of winter:diablo: Four falls for me, two light two heavy.  (smug smiley) if we had one.

Sunny with a light south easterly wind here today, from that you would expect it to be quite cold, alas double figures reached.

May be the pub run remembered to have a drink today, although I'd really like it to be right.

Wearing todays ensemble, jeans, reindeer jumper, BOOTS, longline biker jacket and leather gloves and all important woolly hat and black/white long scarf I can say I didn't feel at all cold. Grey as the days is. But I don't mind that, it's winter I can hide under hats and scarfs and umbrellas wearing cosy things and I have never loved being blinded by the low Sun, especially when it's a bit misty aswell.

In other news after being told that two 'deliveries' had been given in at 'reception' and left by the door, we taken off our broken doorbell.

It's official, the pub run is back on the sauce, and keeps giving some nice charts, or at least better charts then the rest.

Good morning,

very quite in here at the moment, something to do with the weather I guess!!! I still think we could end up with something decent come the big day itself.

Let's hope so, I'm up around your way at my folks for Christmas so hope we have a better chance of a least cold frost than here on the coast!
