Hey! Saw Iceberg around the Model thread.  Could get cosy in here in the next couple of days.

Yeah I saw him in there too. He always used to post in here first thing when snow was due.. we will see if he comes back.

See I don't remember that Jethro.. and it wasnt so long ago (my memory is rubbish) but it would be great if it happened again!

To date, it's the most snow I've ever seen around here that actually stayed around for a while. I probably remember it the most for the fact my Springer Spaniel was only a few months old and he went absolutely crazy. Oh and it's also the event which led to the streaking pics posted on here....

My garden and the lane into the village.....

Oooo, that was a shock to the system, 2000, a day NEVER to be forgotten.

I think hubby and I still have the crown of the only Netweather streakers. Should we be proud or just never let out in the snow without a grown up?

The one problem we have with that system is the timing for west country is a little early in the day I'd hate this to end up a south east only event.. :nea:

Nooo.. please don't say it... it's gone further north. We don't want it further east until it's dumped on us!

Is a worry but see how runs look by Wednesday evening, isnt there a second trough crossing the eastern side of country from north to south on Friday too?

How many times have we been in this position and see something completely different come T+0

Not gonna worry about it too much right now, but there's no need for Harrow boys to be in here winding us up :girl_devil::D

I'm confused now. Just nipped into the mad thread where there's talk of a an easterly with apparently bone chilling dew points next week. Clicked on the posted chart and it shows dew points of -6c in the SE.....the dew points were lower than that here in the last frosty nights we had. It wasn't that bone chilling. Hype???

Yep the SE thread has suddenly woken up with the latest snow maps out. It's all going to go to Far to the east. Need a westward correction tomorrow.

Yeah just noticed this. Crazy how fast things can change when it's so close. Suddenly it's a SE event.

But we know it's going to change again so hopefully back in our favour tomorrow.

IF this little feature does ramp up as is being suggested, with a closed Low developing on that NAE/Euro 4, then some heavy ppn is likely.

But northerly/southerly track - timing - ppn intensity- digging in of colder air etc will all have a large effect on where any snow falls i rekon it will end up being a nowcast situation.

radar watch coming up :)
