Very disturbed frontal cloud spreading in this afternoon, all cloud types as listed by Knocker and also a few rows of rare Kelvin Helmholtz cloud displaying the differing wind directions. Also quite rare to have frontal cloud encroaching while remaining instability with CBs and sharp showers are ongoing.

Yes you can see on the Camborne sounding Andy that it's still unstable in the lower layers thus still okay for Cu and Cb development. At the time we had no Cb here but some quite large Cu.

I've been finishing off the jet washing of the garden during these heavy shower - I felt like a big kid again, great fun!

7.2 mm from these showers already. It's going to be quite a large 24 hour total, I feel.

I think its likely that my low pressure record will go around 3am. The Euro 4 has a central pressure of 964mb, although the forecast on my site, has these comparisons..

Think you guys further south are going to be well placed for the storm tonight. That's a lot of rain on the radar!

Think XCweather is having issues with the Stornoway Temps MINUS 17!!!! either that or we are heading into the next ice age!:cold:

Wind is now beginning to increase in strength already. Noticeable increase in the last 15mins, glad I moved the dustbins. Wind is up to 27.8knots in the Harbour.
