A further 1.1c drop in just 20 minutes! Evaporative cooling could be occurring. Now needing an intensification of precipitation lol.

Well members in north Midlands above 300m asl, just had rain and sleet! could be different down south though if colder air overtakes ppn

Just taken grand daughter back after a New Year's baby sitting stint, car was pinging at me to warn it was below 4c with an ice risk. There's been a definite cool down in the last hour or so, still moderate rain here so who knows, maybe it will turn a bit wintry - sods law though, not a hope of settling on such soggy ground.

Temp levelled off here at 4.2c, just took the dog out for a walk, back home with the log burner on. Just need it to snow now and it couldn't get any better than that.

Heavy, you say heavy, I've just done the Tesco run and it's hissing down out there. Not a lot of folks around, I wonder why :)

Just picked this up from the MOD thread (wrong place I know from Shaftesbury Snow)

"I know this is a bit off topic, but it's currently snowing in Shaftesbury North Dorset. I think this just proves that we look so far into FI chasing charts we don't look at all the little changes and things happening alot closer to the time "

Still raining a fair bit here, 8.1mm so far, temp still holding steady at 4.1c, very windy out and feeling cold in it too.

8.4C just over an hour ago....now 4.8C and still dropping...still be lucky to see sleet i think....but either way its better than last winter by a long way.

Temp has gone from 8.2 down to 4.5 and dew point has dropped from 7.6 to 3.6 in the last hour :D:yahoo:
