I reckon the initial North Westerly from next Thursday Friday is on the verge of being nailed!! After that i would gladly welcome an Easterly as long as i have snow on the ground before the Easterly arrives because up here we normally get stained glass window all but cold from that direction! Gonna be an interesting week ahead thats for sure!

Am I reading the models wrong our do we still look okay for our "potential" bit of winter around the 13th of Jan?

Chance of brief snowy North Westerly is still on, I think we will know for sure tonight as the three main models will be in range.

Longer term there is little of interest apart from some Stratospheric musings which may deliver later in the month.

Next Thursday through to the Sunday looking increasingly interesting. It would be great to get snow over the weekend at least for a bit of fun with the kids.

If the models agree tonight then I will be more confident.

This time next week the wintry showers should be approaching the North West Coast, I will wait for tonight's ECM though. The longevity of any colder spell still to be decided.
