Lol the automateds sure are the funny bunch. They show 5C, then as soon as it enters first five days it drops down 2/3C.

They will be gospel when they show double snow symbols for 4 days constant :D

Something special on the way and could end up more prolonged than what we think. Some areas are gonna get plastered!!

Hopefully the storm does one, it’ll draw in warmer temps, along with causing possible harm as issue with every storm

It will draw in a little warmer air but colder air quickly following in behind again. If we get the snow totals that the models are showing then just imagine the conditions if the storm hits. Blowing and drifting snow would be a cause for concern. Am on ramp mode tonight. Lol:drunk-emoji::cold:

Still... It shows a milder version!

And that storm would kill people too. We need changes ASAP!

Don’t want to put a dampener on things but I’m not loving this run! :nonono:

When do you ever not put a dampner on things?

Hopefully the MOGREPS does not join the 18z boat and keeps the storm well south as shown in The Week Ahead (this assuming that BBC uses mogreps for forecasts)

Perish the day when I ever get 'concerned' by a 18z GFS ops run.

Unfortunately this mornings runs follow suit MS in cutting  this cold spell short and oooooo.... to have an opinion against the grain in this forum Ronan ! Its called realism.

Ps. I didn't say we would not get snow, all I stated was that the last nights run was not  as good as previous runs. And that continues this morn unfortunately.

No downgrades from what I can see.

Met office forecast is full on ramp for low lying snow and the automated look brilliant.

Where the runner low goes next week is still undecided.

Hope so. Just wish this low would go south a bit to give us the ultimate "dumping"

Just our luck that the previous sliders ran south giving us a last minute dodge And now this one moves north.

However, we two to three days of great snow potential followed by a cold flow when the low moves through.

Most of The guys in England would give their right arm for our setup this week!
