For the north and west maybe a lot of it rain/sleet. Forecast shows rain over evening (not auto forecast)

It's funny with snow we're never satisfied, sitting in the house frustrated as showers miss to the north and south of me.

Quite a nice dumping you have there! Proof that the showers are very localized.

Huh?

Barra gave out a weather forecast on the tellie and it showed rain (mostly rain) and sleet for the north and west as the winds change direction.

Some flakes have arrived here. Ground is dry so it might lie. Don't think it will last long though, just a shower.

Did he say mostly rain, or was that for coastal areas only?

No, he didn't say rain however the video forecast itself shown the blue turning to white quite far into land. I'm sure the forecast is a little pessimistic

Snowing proper in Donegal, heavy big flakes and windy

...and here is a pic of that large shower structure moving directly towards Omagh. Should hit here in 20 mins or so. Looks to be nice beefy showers lining up behind it too looking at the radar.

You appear to be right on the northern flank of it so maybe PPN not as intense, you look like you'll do better out of the showers following directly behind.
