If it would get rid of all the insects for the summer then great, I hate insects, also not sure why some people love snow until 29th feb then suddenly prefer heat, it just doesn't make sense, there is obviously a cut off point at which certain synoptics can deliver, but they gradually get whittled down, a switch isn't just flicked on March 1st.

I work up at Dovestones for the RSPB. I monitor the populations for butterflies etc. Last year was terrible after the April cold spell disrupted things a lot, one of the worst years for butterflies and it affected the birds food supplies.

We would be alright with a March cold spell but into April and May it gets more dodgy.

Dont get me wrong I enjoy the snow whenever it turns up, but much better if it's seasonal.

Ive got a phobia of butterflies, moths and spiders so hope they could get wiped out for ever!!!  the problem is though, I have to have the windows closed in summer even at 30c so its more like 40c, the real problem is that I hate heat as well, also hate spiders so wish we could have jusr winter and no other season!!

Ah that's a shame! We'd be in trouble if we wiped out all the insects though!

Im not a fan of heat myself, get above 25°C and it gets difficult, especially if you're exposed on the moors!

Erm, sorry folks, but isn't there something a little weird going on here? Be careful who you are talking to. Things are not adding up in my mind...

Good to have you back Moki, even if I don't belong in the NWE discussions.

Have you got any snow, or any sign of snow?
