Vanish probably wont make the 'bleach stain' go away' probably make it worse, I had a huge rust stain on my fleece last year and used Vanish, think I used too much, it's now solid white, on my grey fleece lol, looks worse than it did to start!

Vanish does exactly what it says on the tin, even takes out the colour of any designs on  anything, as hubs knows when he used that on t-shirt with his name on in black and he ended up with a t-shirt with his name in a gold colour. Too risky with such a colourful top.

I read through several quotes like above quickly.

I wondered why people where talking about using varnish to help clean clothes.

Then it clicked it was vanish, much like I am going to do. lol

Confirmation on this evening's Countryfile weather forecast that September 2016 "was one of the warmest on record". Also noteworthy for having the hottest day of the year, 34C in Gravesend.

The graphic showing the temperature anomaly confirming what a wonderful month it was for our Region:

yep agree it was a fantastic September for us .now all we need is for those to turn to dark blues for the winter .plenty of optimism on that front  at the moment.

Good Morning.

A similar sunrise here too Daniel. It doesn't half cheer up a Monday morning to be greeted by a beautiful sky when you pull the curtains!

A chilly start mind you, with an overnight min of 1C here in the 'Hadleigh hole'. :cold: But I couldn't see any sign of ground frost in my back garden when I got up at 06.45 (temp then up to 2.3C).

@Mark wheeler if you get a spurious quote box appear, point & click on the quote box (I think anywhere, but otherwise the edge) it highlights it and shows a x (cross) in the top left hand corner. Click on the x to delete the quote box. :)

Yeah lovely stunning morning and defiantly  a nip in the air. I hope these easterly winds return in December

Lovely start, keep it up please. Was nice yesterday, however a couple of light convective showers turned up in the afternoon.

A truly beautiful morning, bringing that first day of the autumn when we step outside and feel the cold air that says winter is not far away. Car thermometer read 6 degrees at 8am, while along the river at Kingston the mist shrouded the water with that gentle orange tinge. Here's to a lovely autumnal blue-skies day/week (asking too much?).

Nice and misty and so cool I could of done with a scarf and gloves. Proper Autumn morning.

Just waiting for the BT cut off today meaning they are sorting out our internets. Saying it could be any time between 8am and midnight is very useful of them too.

bless them all.

Day off for anniversary today, had a lie-in so no idea what it was like early morning - but we went for a shopping trip to Brighton this afternoon and I have to say the weather was utterly glorious. Everyone was in t-shirts and there wasn't even a breeze, it was more like an early June day. One of the most summery days of the year...in October!

That said, I'd welcome cold now.

Morning all.

Bright and breezy, can feel the easterly taking hold now here on the coast.

Bit of a rare beast these days the good old easterly.

Nice start here with plenty of blue sky and the odd patch of cloud and a temp of 12C. An hour ago it was quite calm, but the easterly breeze is starting to move small branches now.

The wind could be a real feature for eastern coastal counties over the next couple of days, taking the edge off of enjoying any sunshine. Arpege suggesting gusts between 55 - 65km (35 - 40mph) by Wednesday lunchtime. By Thursday the day-time max temp could be pegged back to 14C or 15C as some colder air arrives over our Region. After the recent warmth the wind chill might make it feel rather chilly! :cold:

Wow that wind is cold, and strong, been gusting between 35-40 since about Mid day. High of 15.5 today but it felt much colder than that in the wind, even the apparent temperature on the station only got to 13.9

Fantastic start here with not a cloud in the sky, 13C, and only a gentle breeze. Unfortunately I don't think it will be long before some cloud appears and the wind gets up.

This morning's satellite nicely illustrates how cool, dry, clear air over Europe can pick up moisture as it crosses the still warm Channel & North Sea to deliver cloud for our Region:

Beautiful morning very autumnal, Had jeans, jumper and a coat on, was just right, not too hot nor cold, although that sun was bright and low down and blinded us on the way to school.

Still not cold enough for the woolly hat.
