Going to make my way home in a few minutes. Good luck to everyone where storms are developing for the remainder of the day.

Does anyone have visuals on the cell NW of Norwich, have a feeling this isolated cell, would have a very nice structure too it, along will a well defined anvil. Possibly turning multicelluar? Or just a new cell as a result of outflow? (Sits on nice convergence zone too!)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I highly doubt that's going to reach you, it's moving southward.

Looking at tomorrow, looks quite good here, very light and variable winds suggesting on a convergence line. :)

I like that there is a convergence over the Mersey estuary. Would be why the showers are so heavy just south of there.

Despite our proximity to the Wales-Norfolk CZ, there's absolutely nothing around here. In fact the earlier quite vigorous convection appears to have flattened out and turned into a widespread sort-of greyness; and, much like yesterday, even the sunny intervals have disappeared???:cc_confused:

Still sunny patches here in Norwich, small cells are slowing moving towards us. Just need some more height to become available.

I would chase it but the time I get there the best bit may be gone.

Sferic  apparently 4.8 miles away but wasn't  Audible so must have been a bit inaccurate. Getting very close now.

Shower developed within 2 miles of here to my north instantly, some decent convection around.

Things seem to have changed down here: the sky has taken-on a much more convective look. But what 'anvils' there are don't seem to have much, if anything, underneath?

I think the storms will lose it's thunderyness when it reaches me say within an hour or so. Looking at the radar the intensity for thunderstorms seems to be embedded in the swathe and only the luck few will get some electrical activity. Looks like just a messy washout for me though.

Very angry skies in Peterborough right now and some vicious deep booms in the distance somewhere!

Keep listening out myself, but I think the strikes are the wrong side of the M56!

Its a bit tricky today cause its so messy. There is a sharp cell south of you. Hopefully the cell heading towards me will intensify or it may be even later when the best potential reaches us.

I've got 20C here, the strong breeze that was here over the last hour has dropped completely.

The centre of the low pressure must be right near here as the eastern side is moving north, while the western is moving south. The whole lot will probably pull south as the low sinks south.

I don't see any southward movement, I just see expansion of the area.

The view to the SW. I couldn't see any of that 20 minutes ago.
