it might be an idea to base yourself at Tiverton. This'll give you the option of the A361 to north devon if anything develops there, whilst still having easy access to Somerset/BANES via the M5

Sounds like a good plan, one part of me thinks it may be SW of Exmoor and more towards the Devon/Cornwall border but I'll try that. Thanks. :)

Oh, I just looked at your profile and didn't realise you were younger than me! No problem, anyone else? :D

Hmm, I really don't know. I'm thinking of going west towards Holsworthy as the Met Office breaks out some proper downpours that way...

Or, do I go and buzz Matt... Decisions...

They will last well into the evening so positioning isn't much of an issue, just make sure your north of Dartmoor.

Latest FI run showing pretty much an exact carbon copy of the 9th June 2014. Interestingly I fly back from Spain on the 9th at around 19:00 over CAPE exceeding 3000-4000j/kg and -13 LI's on that run.

Wouldnt want to think what it would be like in all honesty!!

I would head to Bath, or find somewhere to sit and wait just North, on the M4.

Too far, wouldn't be able to get home for the evening really. I'll most likely stick in Devon, mainly around NW and N of Dartmoor I think. So, yes, I'm off. Anything is a bonus with this cloud, but I'll try to update when I'm near Tiverton.

Still a lot of cloud around, getting the odd sunny spell, but nothing lengthy.

The good news is the Sun is now out in it's full glory here in Bristol. With a bit of luck that will help with surface heating later.

There have been brief studies, but conclusive and definitive evidence is hard to come by and I certainly couldn't state now whether it is true/not true. The general thoughts are that headaches may be caused by changes in factors such as barometric pressure, temperature, dew point, humidity, particularly if these changes are large and sudden. It also depends on a person's sensitivity to these changes.

No idea on stomach churns - that's more a physical reaction to what you are/are not eating/drinking, or nerves/anxiety etc.

Oddly enough I get a churning feeling pre wind storm, regardless of whether I've seen the forecast. I've always thought it was due to a drop in barometric pressure. Similarly, the feeling disappears when the low passes over

Just parked up at the side of the A361 near Tiverton, no sign of any convection and quite dull. Hmm.

According to Sat24, we are beginning to see some large cumulus building over Salisbury.
