Walsall is still grumbling away...

...and there it goes again.

Not sure if the heavier stuff apparently forming NW of me is anoprop or not.

Fantastic line of back building convection in the Midlands keeps fuelling the storms

Tomorrow

Météo France are forecasting more storms the north than the south, but you may be too far west. Definitely a possibility though. Temps. are going down for a few days though. We haven't had any storms in Limousin yet, just a heavy shower just now! The sunshine and warmth have been beautiful though, up to 27c for the last few days. We're heading to Paris tomorrow, so we should/might catch something en route.

Happy, safe travels, and enjoy that beautiful coast...

Had a small storm pass over whilst at work earlier which was a nice surprise considering i wasn't expecting anything. Lovely structure to the storm as well! Picture taken just before 16:30.

Biblical rain here in Kettering!!  Few strikes too though barely noticeble due to the substantial noise the rain is making!!

Activity nudged south as expected, but not as much lightning compared to the storms further north earlier this afternoon.  Still, got a couple of overhead strikes and a torrential downpour.

Good news is we look to have a storm risk day each day from now until possibly back end of next week.  Doesn't get more interesting until next week as upper cold pool moves over the country, leading to a rather unstable environment with strong June sunshine.  Not the most ideal setup, but certainly looks like an active period coming up.

You had a close shave today eh? Quite a few strikes not all that far from you earlier on.

Heavy rain here now..... Still no storm here this year, which is unusual.  Plenty of time left though.

Keeping a close eye on the live wind vectors....looks like we have a convergence building to the near North......early days yet:)

I actually didn't end up getting back untill about 6:45 due to a delayed train service... The main road back Into burntwood was flooded so I thought I may try the lanes... Even worse. A bit frustrating I wasn't there to witness an actual storm however

Just spitting with rain here, nothing interesting going on. I think next week will be better down here but by no means the hotspot for the most action.

I'll believe when I see it, family and friends are complaining about the lack of a "thundery breakdown" and I couldn't agree more. I would appreciate some heavy rain that would last for several hours tonight and/or tomorrow so that the air was "cleared out".

Home's weather station record in Cannock has been broken, 46mm and counting today, could still reach the 50mm.

21:15 Outside turned out like a monsoon. The cat's pretty much crapped themselves at the downpour. Haha.

we may get that one too - outside has gone very dark considering we've been getting used to having light until 10.30pm recently - just waiting to see if it sparks at all
