Just got back home, looks like the cell has sprung to life again but is yet to shed another sferic. Was a nice day out and enjoyed the heat and humidity as well as the convection before I chased that torrential downpour. Shame I didn't see any lightning but at least I experienced the only shower (as of yet) today! :D

Unless he ended up in Ainsdale.

Yeah but he was in  greater Manchester before as  that's where sells where developing. I'm guessing one of them was what became electrified over Ainsdale.  If only it had been 7 miles further south!

Looks like Tuesday's got everyone excited. Don't know the details yet but I'll probably be North west London with work so hopefully that's where all the actions gonna be!

Hmm, not sure how much of that "excitement" will be present within the realms of Grimers, maybe tomorrow may satisfy? :)

New cell developed WNW of the original development!

I hope the cells are further south than forecast tomorrow, my word! :D

Done my bit for Soccer Aid and donated and a good match to watch, Been watching the sky to but I think it's going to be a no show for storms unfortunately even though my phone has changed from sunny to thunderstorm in the last 15mins.

Well, I have to say. I'm incredibly shocked that I managed to get in the right place at the right time today (albeit the lightning activity had stopped). I mean that was an isolated day wasn't it? :O

Oh, and I do apologise for complaining earlier on, you just never know what's going to happen do you? LOL!

Altocumulus Castellanus cloud overhead here now, the talk of elevated showers cropping up on Southern coasts may well be true tonight...

Nothing here, the cells that did develop were just a few miles away

Ridiculously it's still 21.4°C. I'll struggle to sleep tonight. Desperately need a storm here.

Indeed I did :)

Chased the cell that was over Leigh all the way to Southport. I saw one flash but didn't hear the thunder as I was in the car under an absolute deluge of rain. Driving around Ainsdale and Birkdale there was lots of flooding as the cell was moving very slowly and dumping a hell of a lot of rain. I am surprised there was not more lightning as the rain was torrential.

Has anyone else in or near bristol heard what sounds like faint rumbles it's probably not but I've heard it 3 times in the last 10mins while struggling to sleep.
