A cracking morning here. Lovely sunrise, a little mist in the sheltered spots but it is setting up to be a beautiful morning across the duchy. :)

Summer might be over in the metrological calendar however next week it's likely to make a return for a time anyway

Cumulative Radar for August shows some very stark rainfall differences, another very dry month for parts of the SE..

I feel that is very unlikely, good temps in the south east, mid 20's possible for sure but i suspect more northern areas won't be anything like that, low twenties at very best.......thankfully!

Hmm, bit skeptical of that map. The grass and ground says otherwise, as has my rain gauge which measured a total of 48.3mm here for the whole month.

Why do you think that? It reached 29C in Yorkshire in October 2011, and Yorkshire holds the UK September heat record, of 35.6C.

That's the standard 'I don't want heat therefore I will kid myself into thinking it won't happen' kicking in.

Just a feeling on this one,bit to much mobility in the Atlantic coupled with  that many variables, got that suspicion  even charts 3 plus days are liable to big changes at the moment. Remember very well Oct 2011,so it is possible. Just hope hopes including your own aren't raised to high by these charts,it'll probably be something resembling a toned down version we get up here, nice enough though would you agree?
