No storms here yesterday evening/overnight, just a couple of light showers.

anyway hopefully a very warm day to look forward to so maybe the BBQ will be getting a dusting off shortly.

Yep.  Parameters look good to me, let's see whether we can break the cap.  The more heat the better. Perfect conditions for the coast to be the warmest place with an offshore breeze.  Already 14.5°C.

only issues are that there is a lot of cloud around - the sun hasn't made an appearance yet. it's currently 14.5C also here, but no sun, or it may have been higher at this point. This cloud will have to disperse if temperatures in the mid-20s are possible, otherwise it'll just be a high teens day with high humidity.

  I'm sure it'll burn off ...I hope

Bright rather than sunny up here and with a bit of a breeze, our 12.4c it feels a bit cool but I suppose it could be worse.

Gone almost overcast now.. It's going to be one of those days again. Think I'll bury this spell and look forward to the next one sometime later in the summer hopefully

Still yet to see proper sunny blue skies as the last few days have been plagued with cloud and the odd sunny break. Got up to 19°C yesterday afternoon so the warmest day of the year so far for 2016.... A lot of cloud again this morning and a muggy feel with a current temp of 15.4°C, may exceed 20°C later if the sun gets out for any length of time.

It's already 18c here. Storm risk seems to have diminished on forecasts?

Picture perfect here, sunny skies, very warm and a refreshing cool easterly breeze just to take the heat off.  Skies may cloud a little later but I'm not expecting any showers.  Could end up being surprised but doubt it.  We got a brief shower late yesterday evening but no thunder.

Some big clouds going up over the Staffs moorlands now. Might give something to East Cheshire South Manc later?

Overnight min 11.8C, max (sheltered S. facing garden)29.6C, currently 22.9C. Light breeze F2.  No precipitation, currently dry after overnight light rain.  Fair, some high cloud 2/8.

Went swimming in Hatchmere (Delamere Forest, Cheshire) and was expecting a water temp of 10-12C.  Was surprised to find 17C, taken using the FINA stipulated method at 400mm (about 2ft) depth.

Summery feeling day in the Lake District, hazy skies though and a rather gusty wind, so certainly not a classic May day.. we can get superb blue sky wall to wall sunshine no wind days in May, but its the wrong set up for that. Still very welcome, first proper dose of real warmth. Tomorrow probably a better day less of a wind, more sunshine. I'm certain we hit at least 70f, many a day in July and August we fail to hit such a figure. The sun has the same power now as it does in late July.
