Miserable dank, cold, misty, sometimes wet day here yesterday. Much improved today, warmer with  the sun making some appearances through breaks in the fluffy white coulds.

The showers died off this morning and it hasn't been a bad day the usual cumulus clouds for and sunshine for a time. With the warm front gradually coming in now with the usual cirrus been now gradual decline with the rain on its way and tomorrow not looking great either..

A couple more bangs from the South of the city, with another white blob on the radar appearing... almost looks as if there is a bit of rotation in this?

Reporting in from Bordeaux where we managed 31c today under sunny skies. Thunderstorm warnings out for this evening and much cooler and wetter tomorrow at just 16c.

:shok:

Just missed us but we had the violent  wind which blew some 250kg round bales  of straw right out of the Dutch Barn. A bit warmer today and growth is progressing but still hearing from neighbours with horses that they are still feeding them because the grass is not supplying them  with enough nutrients. An expert in the press  today said that silage will be difficult to ferment because of the prolonged cool spring resulting in low sugar levels in the grass and will take a few weeks of warm temperatures to raise them to acceptable levels.

I could see today a few Cumulonimbus develop west of Glasgow these did indeed give a downpour with some Thunder to the Greenock area and to the North of Glasgow.. South Lanarkshire and East Ayrshire also seen a Thundery Shower yet the Cup Final at Hampden turned out a decent afternoon with sunshine and dry..

Had 1 or 2 showers here but the main bulk down to the south and east. Quite bright overhead now actually still plenty of time for more showers though

Very humid and thundery looking here too. Just taken in a cow with sunburn made worse with probably eating a plant which sensitised  her to the sun.The relief on her face when she got into the shed out of the sun was good to see.Spoke to the vet and  he said a few days inside should get rid of the symptoms. Currently overcast dry at the moment and 17c

Well, it's going above 40C here midday and is 30+ at night.

In Dhaharan, Saudi Arabia that is.

Went oot tae get a toothbrush earlier as I forgot mine. Whoa. Hot. Need some of that white flowing robe get-up that locals sensibly wear.

Hope it's pishin with rain when I land at Edinburgh on the way home. Always nice after a work trip somewhere roasting.

A dull start to the day with low cloud rolling in off the Firth but the sun burn"t it off and the afternoon became warm(18c maximum) and sunny.

A  cool NE wind got up in the late afternoon and by mid evening it was down to 7c and decidedly chilly mowing grass.

Now down to 5c and I see the summit of Cairngorm is sub zero. A cool May evening. Birds demolished the feeder this evening as very little insect life about.

Was mid thirties today here in KSA; humidity low with a dry wind taking the edge off things, but starting to bring in dust and sand on it.

Quite looking forward to stepping off the plane the morn to 8 C and rain. Welcome hame.
