Zero sunshine again today despite the promise of brightening up this afternoon!!!!!

GFS dug it's final nails in the coffin for the weekend now, 100% cloudcover being shown Saturday which initially looked like the decent day, deliberating whether to head for West Wales?

Grand morning here with little or no wind and the sun nearly burnt the cloud off now with blue skys above.

Heavy rain over the Malverns last night, plus a bit of T&L although not too close. The sun's coming though the haze now, wonder if we'll get more thundery downpours later. Temp currently 13.7oC.

Not as bad as I expected in the end today, grey/damp start then brightened up around 10am, plenty of sun 11am-1pm, vile grot after that till 5 unfortunately then it vanished in the space of 10 minutes and sunny since.

18.2c max

Lovely day here on the Malverns, wall to wall sunshine. Quite breezy though which makes it feel rather cooler than it is.

Surprisingly ended up a much better Bank Holiday weekend than I expected, fair amounts of cloud on all three days at times but also some warm sunshine and highs of 18/19c, considering today was originally set to be an absolute washout ended up decent enough after the cloud broke up.

Mostly sunny here, became cloudiest at sunset but no rain. Strange for us to be on the right side of a split. Not a bad BH weekend at all.

According to Roger Brugge's site Shawbury has gone over 200 hours, incredibly that's the first time in May since 2001. April has done it twice since. Certainly a vast improvement on last year's terrible May which didn't even reach 20C once.

A windy couple of days here with mean speeds in the high 20s and frequent gusts around 40 mph. A lot of fresh green leaves and twigs littering the roads as a result. It's still breezy this mornng but not as strong as yesterday and Tuesday.

Grot came back in Tuesday afternoon and finally burnt away around lunchtime today, fair weather cloud after work around 4-5:30 then mostly clear since.

Looks like cloudzilla tomorrow/Saturday before a nice warmup/potential thundery weather into next week.

Gorgeous day. Plenty of sunshine, low humidity and just warm enough, a couple of degrees short of perfection, but not far off.
