Looking at the radar the brighter echoes are slowly edging south and the CAPE charts go with that.

28.5mm of rain yesterday made it the wettest June day since the 7th in 2012 when 45.7 mm was recorded. About 20mm of yesterday's total fell in 20 minutes during a thunderstorm.

Yuck come back from mini break to find previous summer's grot has returned, slate grey skies and poisonous charts for the week ahead.

We've led a charmed life around here today. No showers and bright at times. Of course that means no thunder so a double edged sword.

Pretty dry in Stoke today with the odd heavy burst. No thunder again; stark contrast to west and south of here.

So I got back Saturday Night and the sun has yet to appear even once since then! after a promising May/start to the month it's really fell apart and next week's warm up has completely vanished :nonono:

Dry start to the day but very quickly deteriorated into light showers then heavier, longer rain. Really is a washout today, but quite humid out. Currently 15.1oC.

Better day for sun today and individual showers, had one torrential downpour at midday the heavens fell literally.

Heard 1 distant short rumble a short while ago, made the pheasant chirp out.

Showers are very sharp today, wind has turned to the east.

Been the wettest june day after last nights rain since 2012.

Well i heard 2 loud rumbles of thunder today. Not in Telford tho, am in Blackpool got caught in a huge downpour. Checking the radar looks like the storm sheild is still holding intact over Telford. Shrewsbury and the west midlands hogging it all again :-D
