Well the rain arrived around midday, the front has really struggled to clear here with cloudy skies persisting.

Rains done here, now got a dark cloud coming over that looks showery but it's totally dry so far.

Stayed dry even though I could see what was obviously virga, didn't think the conditions were right for evaporative cooling. Must be a big difference between upper and lower air temps.

We had a heavy shower here which lasted a good hour, just when I was out playing football.

A long, low rumble of thunder after a very chilly, wet day.

Has anyone had today's forecast rain yet?

Started off sunny, got cloudy in the middle, now it's sunny again.

Today has been okay, quite a lot of cloud but some sunny spells, cloud has rolled in from the west over the past hour or so though. A high of 17C.

No lol, Englefield Green is only 4 miles west of Staines (but just outside the M25, gasp), only a short drive away. Glad we had some decent rain, everything is growing away quickly now.

Another lovely day here with the temp topping out at 19.2C. It's my town's local country fair tomorrow (the Hadleigh Show) with marquees, displays, animals, show ring, beer tent, etc., etc., and I had been fearing the worst weather wise. But this evenings high res NMM charts are suggesting it won't be too bad. The chart for cumulative rainfall between now and midnight Saturday shows very little rainfall, and the temps are forecast to be between 18C and 20C widely for our Region. Not too bad at all. See you in the beer tent! :)

Same here, nice and warm but cloudy and windy until late afternoon. Hoping for some brief sunshine today before the rain..?

Yes, the end of next week does look to have the potential to be very interesting. From Thurs through to Sunday GFS is suggesting some warm, moist air coming up from the Continent with some very heavy (thundery?) rain possible. But at the mo some subtle differences between GFS and ECM, so we'll have to get a bit nearer to firm up.

Cloudy but bright start here today. A few glimpses of the sun already and up to 17.2C at 09.40. Bit of a gusty wind though. Hope they've pegged down the marquees properly at the Hadleigh Show!
