Been a lovely day, started foggy, sun burnt most of that off but a slight mist has remained all day. Today's high 9.1, down to 7.8 now.

Evening all, first post on here having looked in from the other side for a while.  WS showed 11.2C earlier in plenty of pleasant sunshine. Could certainly do with drying out after Wednesday.

Welcome to the forum Snow H :good:

I'm not sure about anyone else but I find this weather incredibly boring + the poor air quality associated with persistent HP traps all the bad things bad for your health. Despite the fog lifting quite dense approx 0700 there remained a slight haze all day.

Foggy morning here, thinning only slowly. Hopefully some nice sunshine again to come later. Not overly chilly at 4C.

Gloomy start, the cloud is slowly thinning now with some sunny spells coming through.

I wonder if we are going to move from an El Nino to a La Nina?  What are summers like that follow strong El Ninos? I think we are going to fry this summer:bomb::help: Roll on November, heat and London don't mix well.:bad:

Ah a repeat of the last couple of days, a grey and misty start but the sun is already breaking through now. Monday looks sunnier with a stronger breeze from the east. From there onwards a north easterly wind will probably drag a lot of cloud over us so enjoy the sunshine.

Better make the most of this sunny spell before you get battered on your allotment  by non stop NW winds  through the summer.

Haha! :D The allotment is certainly benefitting from this calmer spell of weather, the ground might actually be workable soon and not a sodden, sticky mess. It is such a relief not to be battered by the wind and see high pressure over the UK....it's been so long coming. Do not speak of any vile, howling NW'lies! Last year was a one-off I hope....this year, I'd like it hot, sunny with some decent storms and not too much wind.

Beautiful, sunny mild day here. Been preping and sorting garden ready for spring all day, sun has been beaming down the whole day.

God how I'd love for our weather to be like this all time.

So what if it becomes cloudier through the week, at least there's no Atlantic wet crap to deal with during the next 7 days. I'd take a cool cloudy dry day over a wet Atlantic one, any day of the week.

Absolutely lovely day here, unbroken sunshine most of the afternoon as any residual low cloud melted away.

Almost unbroken sunshine here today form start to finish, friday was pretty decent too, Saturday was misty then grey overcast sky's all day, here hoping we get some breaks in the cloud in the coming week as winds freshen from the NE with cloud off the north sea.

I'm getting the same temperatures as I did during the so called  last cold spell we had, some parts of East Anglia are probably colder, so this should be described as a cold spell for the SE if the other over hyped ones were?:cc_confused:

Yesterday started foggy then cleared to a mist, high of 10.5, today started quite cloudy but that soon blew away in a fairly strong east wind (max gust 40 mph) to leave a nice mostly sunny day with no mist. The wind made it feel fairly chilly and also stunt the max temp which was 6.5

That wind is cold, as in who left the fridge door open kind of cold.

Wow its busy in here lol....

Couple of lovely days followed by a bright but breezy and cold Sunday.
Pretty dam normal for the highs to start taking hold now.
Its always the same, normally a bit later with east to north east winds giving 15c plus inland whilst here on the coast it stays at 7 to 10c.

Bright and cold start at 5c.
Today could go either way cold and bright or cold and dull.
Best guess it will flit between the two and feel dam cold with the wind.
However all those model hunters in the MO thread chasing rainbows, it all ended up in the middle despite El Ninos SSW MJOs  cherry pickers...
