this winter has been total 'pants' and must be one of the worst monotonously boring winters since (or even surpassing) 2013 and thats saying something.  i can't even bring myself to look forward to next winter now if this is the way our winters are going.  utter dross.

If sleet is being reported at 2000 by my trusty dad in considered inhospitable parameters - this suggests to me snowfall may be more widespread than imagined into small hours.

SE Kent folk alert....

The situation around 6am though is fascinating as the little lp that forms on the front runs through the Dover Straits.

This means the wind will go SE for about an hour or 2 around 7am and this could produce a sneaky window for snow fall at somewhere like Whitfield (120m asl) , not IMBY (where I expect nothing) , before the wind switches almost immediately to a NWly and the low centre tracks eastwards and precip dies quickly.  Fascinating...

Still raining here, has been for the last 3 hrs, doesn't feel very cold out, still at work, so two miles down the rd when I get home, will be much colder, as out in the sticks, fingers crossed for some white stuff, but not going to hold my breath, but you never know with our Good old British weather :D

Will mon ami, what is the point of your postings here this evening, even with your incorrect use of French?  I know we are closer to mainland Europe than you Peak District folk, but 'tis all a bit odd, n'est-ce pas?
