Thought I'd wait a bit later than usual for my guess but , frankly, I still don't have a clue where Feb will end up...gut feeling is it'll be a colder month so my guess is 3.7c:cc_confused:

Same here, no real better feel than I had this time last week.

OK, gonna go for 4.1C.

Hints from the MetO about possibly 'cooler' weather mid Feb, and current models for early Feb showing a little promise of cooler, if not cold, solutions. Given the winter so far though I can't see there being sustained cold so I'll go for slightly below the recent average for Feb.

Won't be surprised if March ends up the coldest 'winter' month though (won't we all be in for a surprise if we have a warm spring).

Just so I'm not the same as Polar Gael, I'll go for 3.9C. A below average month in the north but often milder in the south with cold not lasting as long. I'm banking on a similar second half of February to 2005 with good synoptics but disappointing delivery.

I wish I could see a sub 2C month coming up, but alas, so I will go for 2.8C so 1C below the seasonal (1960-91) average. I suspect it will be an increasingly cold month with a Euro trough becoming dominant as we approach mid month, so a near normal start with a colder weather from the second week onwards with a few potent northerlies thrown in. Unfortunately I can't see a proper blocked/very cold spell but a decent month overall.
